I'm 61,retired and a long time fishing addict. At the age of 55 I added the corvette to my other addiction and love both activities. Bought a 92 in 98 and have added an 01 in 03. Welcome to the forum . The forum becomes a way to feed my corvette addiction during the winter months when the vettes are in hibernation. you will love driving that vette, or excuse me your wife's vette.
I'm a 64 young thinking retired man, active, offshore fisherman, conservative etc. enough of that.
I was shocked the other day, my lady having been a Mercedes driver
for most of her life, came home with a Corvette, It was a 98 C5 coupe with virtually every option and with 9300 miles on it and I do not think it was ever driven in the rain. She paid an arm and a leg for it.
I will need some help, I'm sure with problems and what will be best to keep her(the C-vet) in great condition.
Thanks in advance
Welcome to the Forum
This is a great place for any question(s), so do not feel the least bit afraid to post them for ansewrs.
I've been lurking for a while, and I s'pose it's about time to emerge from the shadows.
When I was 15, I was offered (and accepted) a chance to drive a '71 big-block Corvette Coupe. (I didn't have the b*lls to tell the guy that the only thing I'd driven up to that point was a Cub Cadet. ) After that memorable experience, I knew that someday I'd own a Corvette.
Fast-forward 30 years to 2003. On an impulse one Saturday, I found myself at the local Bowtie dealer, a major Corvette merchant only a mile from my home . . . and spied a 2000 Coupe, Light Pewter Metallic with Torch Red leather, cherry, 16,000 miles . . . and fell in love immediately. (Ok, the fact that it was Ohio State's colors didn't hurt. ) Less than 90 minutes later, I was down a Saab 900 SE and up a C5.

Welcome and enjoy. Mod fever is unbelievable. Never intended to mod the car until I dropped into the "Forum Zone" and now I am hooked. It's like the line in the Eagles song Hotel California, "you can check out anytime you like but you can never leave".
