Hey guys, following your opinions and experiences I completed my calipers this past weekend. Taking the calipers off and properly cleaning helped my project pass my meticulous standards. I used HVC caliper paint and baked the calipers between coats. After several coats I used a razor blade to cut the paint off the "CORVETTE" and they turn out awesome. Here are some after pictures as well as a shot of my car before hand. Thanks for all your input and advice.
Your calipers look great! I will also do this as a winter project. Did you brush or spray paint them and did you have to take the calipers off the car? One more question, what paint did you use.

thanks,
I used sport red caliper paint from Autozone, I think it is call VHT about 6 bucks a can. It took two cans to lay on about 6 to 8 coats. The trick is to be patient, spray several light coats and letting them dry before spraying the next. I hung them over a couple of floor heaters to help the drying process. I took off both front and cleaned them well with brake cleaner and went to spraying. The first couple of coats will not look great but your goal is to just get a good base. A couple of light coats dried will allow that nice cover. The razor blade worked GREAT to remove the paint off the "CORVETTE". Then I proceeded to the rear calipers. Just bleed the brakes when done!!!!! Before driving!!!!! Get a buddy or buy a “one man bleeder kit” from AutoZone when you’re getting your paint. I highly suggest taking the calipers off and spraying them, this will take your car out commission for a day or two but the results are worth it. I have seen some that you can tell they were painted, you would really have to look hard to see if mine were painted or purchased. I’m happy, and I am a perfectionist!
