Default caliper painting

i am considering painting the calipers on my 2000 blue vette convert, any experience by brand name or kit that has gotten great results ?preferably one that does not require removal of the calipers.

I bought a quart can of Rustoleum for $3.49 and did my car and 5 others. I still have enough paint for maybe 5-10 more.

Sunrise Red Gloss is the Rustoleum colr name

For those of you who have. how many coats did you apply? how much time between coats, and how did you not paint the "corvette".
thanks

Don't know how many coats; doing mine in spring. As for Corvette word, most paint over it, then sand paint off letters or scrape off with razor blade; search forums for caliper & paint and you'll get lotsa hits

How did you get around on not getting any paint on the car.

Thanks

I have been looking to do this too. Here is some information I found on another web site descriping the process that he used (although a different car I think you can apply his techniques here).

I plan to paint my caliper by just undoing the calipers but keeping the lines attached. I plan to paint them silver with blue letters.

I am heading your way on the 2nd to watch the Panthers... you want to stop by and give you a hand?? As far as coats, keep spraying until they look good, about 6 for me... don't worry about the letters, just spray on top of them... use a razor blade to cut the paint off the "corvette"... works like a charm!

I'm actually doing a lot tonight. I'm putting on my Sportbrake cross-drilled and slotted rotors, hawk ceramic pads, Stainless brake lines, and I'm painting the calipers. You're more than welcome to come by and take a look when you're here, the stadium is literally 2 blocks from my place.

I used Rusoleum red paint. It's been a year now and they still look great.

I did the same 2 years ago and they just now need a touch up. Daily driver, pressure wash wheels and wells weekly.

Go with the G2 epoxy paint kit - it has everything you need. You can find them easily on ebay.
