Default Got my car back today!

So I picked up my car from A&A today after they did a h/c, highflow cat, headers, clutch, forged piston install and all i have to say is... 'holly... wait, 'all i have to say' is not permitted on the forum. When I rev it, the car sounds like an angry beast that has been woken and is going to tear your heart out.

I was merging onto the highway behind a truck and i wanted to get past it so i wouldnt get pelted with sand and rocks. I was going about 60 and I hit the gas like i normally would to pass and the back end kicked out (i recovered quickly)!

This car is so cool! it revs quicker then any other car that i've owned (a 4 cyl mazda miata turbo and a 1.3l rotary rx-7 twin turbo).

It's not a power house; i'm guessing a little less the 400 rwhp (i wont know until we do the dyno tune in 500 miles), but i have been pulled from my desk 5 times so far because coworkers wanted to hear the vette scream!

I'm just scared that at one point i will get used to the power in this car and want more!

thanks for your concern. I don't plan on racing the car, i think i would be perfectly happy right now just sitting in the parking lot and reving it for the next few hours at least.

It's bitter sweet though... I have to take off tomorrow to fly back east for the holidays... what's another week and a half after two months of waiting? :-\

Wow, did the pistons too! Did u get any head work done? Doh! just figured out what the acronym H/C he referred to actually meant.

The engine must just rage!

so this is a little embarrassing... if you look at my background I've had imports... a 4 cyl and a rotary. I pushed both of those engines pretty far (turbo on the 4 cyl and a gob of mods to the rx7) but internal engine mods and the v8 was sort of a mystery to me. I was learning and reading a lot from this forum but there was only so much time. I went into all this blindly and trusted Andy based solely on our talks on the phone and from his rep here on the forum. I'm not sure about the specs of the h/c set up but i emailed Andy and hopefully he'll get back to me with that info.

here is what i know...

ls1 short block w/forged pistons, ls6 intake manifold, comp cam, stage II ported heads, Luk pro gold clutch/flywheel, high flow cats (dont know brand), tts headers.

fyi...
I did not go into this because I was craving more horsepower; you may remember my earlier post about hydrolocking my engine. I figured that since it was apart that it would be the best and most cost effective time to do the performance mods. I couldn't be happier... If anyone is in LA and wants to check the car out, let me know!

as far as the pics... well i'm leaving tomorrow so i wont have time to take any but there isnt much to see (externally). I will get some taken when i get back and give it a good bath and wax.

happy holidays everyone!
