We bought a new house three months ago. It sits on top of a hill on 10 acres, overlooking a long terraced slope leading to a lake which is frozen over, the perfect place to ride sleds. My son and his friends were sleigh riding and skiing down the serious hills. I saw a bunch of the neighborhood kids, all 10 to 13 years old watching them sledding and I invited them over. Much to my surprise, all the little guys wanted to see in my garage first because they had always seen my Vettes from a distance but never up close. When I opened the three garage doors, the little guys just stood there in awe, staring at the spotless 2002 Electron Blue Z06 and Miglia Red 71 coupe. They wanted to get up close and see them. I figured these little guys would be all over the snowy slopes riding their sleds but I was mistaken. After 10 minutes of getting introduced to the cars, I asked them if they wanted to ride their sleds. After a pause, they said they guessed so. One little guy about 11 said beamingly, "Someday I am going to have a Corvette, a Corvette just like this one!" as he walked backwards out of the garage. Gentlemen, the fire is lit, another young enthusiast has been born.
pretty cool.
yah never know whats going to happen.
When I was 10 yrs old, I remember looking at a very cool Stingray parked near a local business.
32 years later I bought a '64.
It took me a while to realize that It was the Same car.

Great Story. I remember when I saw my first Vette up close. I must have stared the paint right off of the thing. The owner showed up about 5 minutes into my drool Asked me what I thought. I said it was the best looking car I had ever seen. Then he let me sit in it. I was hooked, took a while but there is one in my garage now
Wish I could go back in time with my vette and let him sit in mine
Happy Holidays
