Fuse box cover
First off Merry Christmass everyone! OK this is minor delema (sp), what is the trick on getting the screw off that holds down the fuse box cover? I have a chrome cover to go over the stock cover and need to get the hold down screw off.

there is a plastic shaft around the screw as I recall that has slits that run length wise to the screw. The trick is to spread the plastic shaft to release the screw. Be careful I cracked mine doing this. Probably better if the part is somewhat warm.

the plastic thing that looks like a drywall anchor is the key. I slit it with a razor knife on two vertical sides till I could spread it. The **** portion will then come out. To reinstall I just put a small electrical tie around the circumference of the plastic "anchor" to pull it back together. Hope this makes sense ..
