I am about add tire sensors to my ZO6 and was wanting to make sure the ZO6's have the receiver already and all I have to do is have a Tech turn it on with a Tech 2 tool after I get the sensors added to the rims?
I installed LTPS to my 03 Z. The car is ready all you need to do is buy 4 new sensors either from a CF vendor for around $225 or find a CF member selling theirs or try eBay. I had to print out a copy of the instructions for my local dealer to follow. He said they were spot on and kept a copy for future use. He charged me $160 which included re-balancing my tires.
I bought a spare sensor on the off chance I get a flat that I must use the tire goop on to get me to a safe and secure place to deal with a flat. Sometimes it's cheaper to ruin a $55 sensor than to wait for a flat-bed and be towed to some out of the way tire fix-it shop only to find they can't repair the Z's wide tire/wheels combo. Or you just want to get the car home and deal with the tire at a more convenient time and place. Something to consider.
I also had him turn on the Twilight Sentinel. While I don't like this feature and don't use it, it didn't cost anything and it makes my 03 Z just a little more special for some future owner.
