Anyone have any info about hard top for C5 Convertible? Ecklers has one in catalogue. Does GM make an OEM hardtop? Anyone have one for sale?
Got mine from Smoothline near Pittsburgh. Went with the Black Vinyl rather that Paint to match. Caravaggio makes one for more $$ that a few CF members seem to like. They seem to be the real players in the removable hardtop game. Both are styled like a FRC.
Tried to get in touch with Jeff and never could. Someone told me he had sold his Vette and moved from BG. Anyway, tackled the job myself and got it together
I have a Smoothline hardtop I'm selling for another member (Boogieman). I sold it to him and then he bought a C6. He's asking $2000 plus shipping. Better if picked up near Philly or Bronx areas.
It's painted black and has the built-in rear defogger. It's in great shape (only used for racing), and always stored indoors. Last time I checked, they were selling new for $3000 without the defogger or paint. There are plenty of pictures on Smoothlines website and my signature shows it on my red 98. I can email larger ones to serious buyers.

Why??? The vert looked so sweet. And this doesn't look removable (I do see the Targa top)

Again I'm speechless. GB you think a forum vendor will have one to sale me?

Don't worry Dan, 15 minutes and 4 bolts and it's a vert again You'll just never know what car I'll be driving the next time we see each other The vert, the hardtop or with the targa out
Cheezila - wish someone would make these. If I had somewhere to do it besides my garage I would consider doing more

Th eworkmanship on all of these cars are great..... and I have seen smoothline on cars and at the plant they are very nice.
But I have to ask .... Why.
That is the reason I bought a vert. Un less you live in a Very cold climate and plan on driving your car in the cold often I just dont see the reason to blow a few grand.
