When asked last Monday what would happen if Bryant drove the lane, O'Neal replied: "When you've got a Corvette that runs into a brick wall, you know what's going to happen."
Me and my S/O do mock interviews with him and always end up dying of laughter.
Example:
S/O as reporter "Shaq, why did you use a Corvette to describe Kobe?"
Me as Shaq (in drawn out monotone) "because,.. they are alike...both are fast... very good at what they do...and everyone knows that a Corvette picks up chicks too..."

Never thought I'd say this, but I admire Shaq for gettin' outta Dodge, so to speak, so he'd no longer have to put up with that ultra-spoiled Kobe character...
Kobe is proving that it takes a TEAM to win consistently in the NBA. His play exemplifies the way the U.S. Team got embarrased last summer by those pesky 3rd world teams...
OK...I'm done with that rant...

No doubt about it, both **** and Kobe are great at what they do.
With that said, they are also "prima donnas".
Kobe also trashed the Corvette, saying that he only drove Ferrari's and Lambos. He is so stupid, though, that I doubt if he even knows how to drive either one.
If it weren't for basketball, Kobe would be working somewhere for minimum wage!
You also have to realize where Kobe is coming from. When you're worth millions of dollars, you don't have to be as frugal in your spending as most of us. He doesn't have to take into consideration the cost of anything at this point. I own a less than $100 watch...I bet Kobe dosn't even know what one looks like NOW. Now back in the day, he was just like the rest of us!! He's also a smart kid, but not to worldy as people try to make him out to be. A lot left to learn IMHO!!
I've never met either, but I bet Shaq's a more likeable character. He was a reserve deputy with the LA county sheriff, can you believe that?
One of my former co-workers does have a Shaq story: Years ago, he west to the Lakers training center in El Segundo to pick up some tickets. He, of course, doesn't know Shaq, but he joked cockily to the attendent behind the desk, "Hi, Shaq left some tickets for me here."
And then behind and way above him he heard a low voice, "I left what for you?" It was Shaq. "Yeah, I don't know this guy." But he was a good sport, shook their hands, and said, "See you at the game."
Sorry guys, these professional ball bouncing a-holes getting paid cabillions of dollars to play basketball are not worth the powder it would take... hell, why am I even responsding to this. Oh yeah, Shaq mentioned a Corvette.
