Default A question about a cover...

I got a Y2K C5 back in November, and she is garage kept and flawlessly maintained, just a weekend car.

I got one of the Intro-Guard covers for Xmas, my wife ordered it and was not real happy with the sales staff at WCC...rude and short.

I have searched to avoid another thread about covers, but could not find any opionions about this cover and what you think is best for a barrier from dust and bumps, the intro guard is one layer polyester and feels like a windbreaker.

send it back?

thanks

I keep my 97 covered in the garage as well. I wanted something to keep the dust off and with some thickness to help protect against bumps. I bought the NOAH and have been VERY happy with it. That's my 2 cents.

If you are just going to use it indoors, I'd recommend the Dustop
or a flannel cover... eklers, midamerica

The Intro-Guard covers have a good reputation for their Weatherproof characteristics. They are also one of the lightest covers available. Their only drawback is that they don't provide very good protection against "bumps and bangs"!

For the same price range ($130 - $150), you can buy a cover made from either the NOAH or Evolution 4 fabrics. These covers provide as good or better protection against the elements, but they are thick enough to provide excellent protection against "bumps and bangs"!!

You have a good quality cover. It just depends on if you want better physical damage protection.

From what I have read and studied the NOAH is the best cover out there. But it is expensive. I have the Evolution covers on both of my Vettes. These are garage kept cars so did not figure I need the NOAH but wanted the 4 layer protections for bumping the car or for junk being layed on the car.

I feel your wifes pain with WCC. I placed an order and had to cancel. I was able to cancel before item shipped but man did I get the nastiest emails from them telling me how I wasted their time and such. I swear I'll never use them nor will I recommend them to anyone. Side note: They did not want to cancel my order as they said it was shipped. I called the person who was doing their shipping (very nice) and was told it had not shipped and they'd be more than happy to cancel it. Too bad WCC does not have the same attitude. Just my .02.

I did get a car cover from MidAmerica.

You bet I cover my C5 when garaged indoors. There';s dust in there as well.

I am cheap and sewed together a couple of bed sheets. They work well indoors - but nada outside.

thanks for all the info, the cover I had for my Trans Am was a $40 pep boys special, but you have to move forward when you get the vette anyway, it is between the NOAH or the 2 tone stormshield cover...

thanks

I'm very pleased with my dustop cover from California Cover. Car is garaged kept and this cover protects it from dust and dings.

I have a flannel lined cover from Mid America. It works great for indoor use.
