lets see your big butt
But with the info posted in some profiles and other bits of information that could be obtained here and elsewhere on the 'net, any competent computer hacker could conceivably find other personal info (S.S.#'s etc.) that I'd rather not give out.
With identity theft on the rise, I don't want to give them any more tools than they already have.
JMHO, of course...
I disagree with you on this point: Blacking out your plates will not stop anyone that wants to "get you".
Unless it is a personal vendetta by a hacker, no one has enough time to manually track through millions of pictures to gather information.
Pictures are generally safe from Internet robots trolling the web - TEXT is your enemy. I see people posting their email address, telephone number, full name even their address sometimes on these forums (in reply to some other post) - and THAT is very stupid. They should PM that stuff. They also post personal information in the C5 Parts and C5 For Sale forums with no problems and never think twice about it.
People also post their resume on the net (I do) but they leave full contact details etc. (I don't).
My point is this : TEXT is your enemy - that is what the automatic harvesters gather, not pictures.
I'll never black out my plates - no point.
Just my 0.02 cents worth.

Let's see Flashy car? Drive around in public? Catchy plate number?
On the web or anywhere else. Most hackers go after the commerical retail kind of busienss for numbers.

Won't black them out when I do as I have a Benpup and 2 guys named Smith & Wesson living at my house. Benpup loves snacking food.
Happy New Year, Hoist one for me!
