I'm told summer tires start losing their grip at around 40' (and mine have seen 1 to many track days) add some extra hp because of the cold air and I can't go full throttle until 4th gear (if I'm careful) and that's with an intake/exhause C5
Or 12 degrees like it was last week. It felt like I had 500 ponies under the hood!!! Having a blackwing helps to suck up that cold air as well.
I hear that brother. I had the vert out Christmas night and it was 12 degrees. I didn't run her too hard, but man did she run nice. It just seemed like she would fly with hardly any throttle.
Had the car oon the track a few nights ago for the first time and ran a best of 12.6 @ 111mph. That far surpassed my expectations. But I guess 45-50 degree temps made all the difference.
