Has anyone bought these posters? I got one for Christmas and have no idea how to mount it. Any ideas? It's almost 11 feet by 4 feet in 3 sections. Did you mount each section separately, or put up all in one piece?

I have only seen one of these billboard posters, but it was put up as three separate pieces and mated together. Looks good when it almost covers an entire wall.

You'll need some one to lend a hand to help. I bought some poster glue at a craft shop in a spay can to help out before I used a stapel gun to put up and then I made a frame out of base bord I got from home depot. as you can see I did not use enough spay glue, i shoud have spayed the poster and the wall but only spayed the poster.
Good luck

I keep saying I'm going to buy one of these. Let us know how it goes.

To stick it on the wall, I'd recommend wallpaper paste and put it up just like hanging wallpaper. Then, it will stay nice and smooth.IMHO

Good luck

I thought that was our garage for a minute!

But since we wanted to see what it looked like, we used clear push pins to mount them....and that is how it is still there now.

Before I moved I had three different versions of these. I just put them up just like wallpaper. I pasted both the wall with a light weight paste and the also each section of poster which allows it to slide as you position it. Make sure you "drop a line" or use a straight edge to get the first panel on right. I don't have a wall be enough now that doesn't have a window or door, but mine were really and real conversation pieces when I had them.

We bought one and my sister-in-law said she knew how to put it up but she really messed it up. She did use wallpaper paste and when it got wet it wrinkled up. So we tried to smooth it out the best we could and then to hide some of the wrinkles we put a frame around it that was painted the same color as the picture. It looks pretty good now except it's crooked and we have it on so tight that if we take it off now it will probably pull off the sheet rock. If I had to do it again, I would just put a little bit of glue around the edges and then put the frame around it and I wouldn't get my sister-in-law to help me.

I've been thinking of maybe mounting it to some insulation board if I can find 4 x 12 and cut down. I'd really like it in one piece, and I'd like to be able to move it as I have 3 garages and I haven't quite figured out my decorating schemes in all of them yet. I'd like to have some way to have it in one piece and move it to another location, or if we ever moved, I ain't leavin' that here! Plus, if I ever sold, make that HAD to sell my Vette or die, the new owner could bungee it to the roof and take it along. LOL!

Call the local outdoor advertising company and ask how they put them up.

I believe it's just wallpaper paste.

My recommendation:

1. Buy (2) 4 x 8 sheets of paneling at Lowe's.

2. Cut the paneling into pieces to match the sizes of the poster.

3. Mount the poster to the back (flat) side of the paneling.

4. Screw the panels to the garage wall.

By doing it this way, the poster is not "permanently" mounted. It can be moved any time you want with minimal effort.

Just my .02

Look at mine in on my garage wall.
I just hung it up with some straight pins.
