'04 LS6 thermostat
I have a new LS6 engine; where can I get a 170* thermostat for it, at a decent price? I know they don't use a complete housing unit like the '97-03 cars. Thanks

Look over to your left side of the screen showing vendors, go to Tbyrne, I got my 160 stat from them, don't remember how much, 15 or 20 bucks, but they have them.

The only thing pcm re program does is alter the kick in point of the fans. If its for track work then it doesnt matter.

In order to appreciate the 160-170 stat you will need to readjust your fan setting to take advantage of the stat.

I have one from WCC. Its their number 100-222. 2004 170 degree. I paid 69.95 plus 15.50 shipping for it. I'll sell it for 65 shipped.

Thanks for the leads; I will look into lower fan speeds too.
