Has anyone tried to put a C6 shifter in a C5? Are they the same? Is it any better?

My local dealer tech ordered the C6 shifter to see if it could be installed into a C5. But, I have not been back to talk with him and see what the results were.

I don't think so, just go Hurst, it's more ratchety.

I tried the Hurst, but it was Too Ratchety for me!

My Hurst is tearing up my transmission, or so my dealer says.

I had my transmission rebuilt under warranty and that is exactly what they said caused it to go bad. I don't believe it, but haven't reinstalled it just in case I have transmission problems again.

Anyone else have transmission problems after installing a Hurst?

I have had one for 36,000 on my 03 with NO problems!
