Default my current wheel dillema

Hello guys. I'm sure most of you don't know me, I have been a member for a while now, but I don't post much (just a lot of reading others posts, and drooling over the pics! Well I have a 00 millenium yellow c5, and besides the corsa x-pipe, cat-back and blackwing intake...it looks like every other yellow c5 on the road. I hav e the polished 5 spokes on the car now but I am looking for a change. However, I don't want the typical "replica" wheel. By this I mean I would rather not get the zr1, z06, or c6 replicas. I want to do something different. I LOVE ccw's, fiske, and HRE, but right now the money isn't there.

My questions are....

--How much could I realistically sell my wheel/tire combo for. (polished thin 5spokes(no curb rash, rush or anything, wrapped in nitto 555's (less than 1500 miles on them.????

--Also, what wheels are out there besides the ones I mentioned? I have seen many wheels that looked great, but only come in VERY skinny sizes (wheels wrapped in 225 wide tires) Thanks a lot guys, my ride is "sleeping" in the garage for the winter, but I need somthing to set it apart from the rest this spring!

Alot of 5 spokes in the C5 Parts for sale section, that may help you gauge the price or interest in what you can get for them. I don't even want to guess, with or without tires.
As you know...the other wheels you mentioned, start saving

I'm with you on the expense...it is pretty phenomenol what they are going for, but they sure do look sweet.

Hope you get yours soon, I know it will be a while for me.

Not sure what the going price is for high polished 5 spokes these days. When I sold mine 2 1/2 years ago, I got $800 for them.

Take a look at the SSR GT3 wheels if you want something different. Or contact Xtreme Motorsports - they had a wheel that looked just like the Mallet ones for much less money.

Sorry my friend, but you've hit the same wall we all hit. You want more but the bucks aren't there. I want a set of 505's and a Supercharger. Unfortunately, my wife keeps complaining she wants to eat occasionally and for me to pay the house note.

The Problem with SSR-GT wheels is that they are not forged but spun cast, which means they are light and **** to bending, the spun cast wheel is esay to manufacture as oppose to a tru forged wheel which is much stronger.. when I was considering these wheels and did the research I found spun cast to be a negative and also they are clear coated which to me is also a negative , because you can't polish a stone chip in the clear out, and once the clear is chiped the casting starts to oxidize.. the clear can turn yellow due to UV and for 2300 dollars, it was not what I was looking for in a quality wheel... for 2400 dollars you can buy one of the strongest wheels on the market. The CCW line of wheels and the manufacturer is an expert on wheel design, tru forged quality and builds wheels specifically for the street or for the track,.,,Iver never heard one bad word about Jogn Chip or Steve or about CCW wheels.
It was a No brainer for me , but the SSR-GT is a nice looking wheel.. but one pot hole hit in the wrong place on a spun cast wheel and its bent.
I mean no disrespect to anyone with these wheels...I just do a lot of homework before I buy anything...
