Should STUZVETTE get a stereo system while we have it completely gutted? Nothing big, either just a single Din Alpine head unit 4 channel amp and some good speakers, Or a Kenwood touch screen/dvd player, 4 channel amp and good speakers, Or just leave it alone.
Thanks,
Chris
P.S. I found DIRT in Stus car!!!! I have pictures to prove it and will post them AFTER i get his car back together.
The next sweetest thing to my Corvettes acceleration is the PA (public Address) type sound system in my car. If you are using the right equipment this should be a no brainer!
This is too close, This isn't helping at all......Kenwood Touch screen DVD installed in the Dash, not pop out.....single din alpine unit, or stock, its' not that hard...I love the Alpine sound a lot, but i'm unaware of another unit besides the kenwood that will work in the dash without popping out.
Thanks for the responces so far!
Ohh, now I understand..... Anything but factory!! LOL!!
Really though, go the Alpine, all things considered the Alpine's sound will win me over vs. the screen. Heck, I took out a Eclipse screen just to go with a CD player (Premier P1R) for sound quality purposes.
And seriously too, the screen might - no, will be a big distraction on the road. Things happen quick at any speed!

It would be the perfect time to do a stereo install while you have the interior stripped out. I installed my Alpine D-900 system when I put the dynomat extreme in my car and it was great being able to route all the component wires as needed without any problems.
I've always had good luck with Alpine and have an Alpine amp and sub with my factory head unit and speakers. It sounds good but would sound better with the Alpine head unit and new speakers.
