Ours does not leak, yet. 98 Coupe, looks like original seals, even a tear over the right side window I glued together...It sits out in the Oregon rain , and if it were gonna leak, it would be soaked inside.
Some folks have had success with treating the seals with Silicone grease....just to a site search for Silicone or Dialectric Grease and Window seal to find the threads...there here somewhere.
Our garage is full of tools and equipment that make it possible for us to make a living and own a Vette......A new carport for the Vette is planned soon though, removing the trees in the way in a few weeks.

99% of the time no. From time to time if the passenger side window doesn't seat properly against the rubber it will trickle under some strong water (like while washing). But overall she is pretty tight.
Seems if you treat the rubber parts a few times a year it helps keep that stuff in good shape to really fit to the window when up.
My '01 lets in a few drops of water when I wash it. It looks like the water enters right where the two pieces of weather stripping meet about midway on the drivers side window. This is where there is a break in the weather stripping where you fold back the top. I guess the weather stripping isn't as tight against each other as it needs to be. Maybe it has shrunk a little. I put dielectric grease on before winter storage and plan to reapply in Spring. I'm hoping this will solve the problem (not really a problem since it's just a few drops). I don't know if it currently leaks when raining since my vette hasn't ever seen rain (only had it for about 8 months).
YES, Same as mpandanella, You described it alot better than me in an older post. I wish someone new how to repair that problem. It only happen when it setting still.
Mine leaks under pressure when I wash it but just a few drops. During normal AZ rain (yes, it does rain in AZ) it is fine. Someone can probably correct me but I think they changed the weatherstripping on the vert in about 2000. Someone will know for sure.
I have a 2001 and I might have seen one drip and that's it. It helps that I only drive it on sunny days , but still even when I wash it there are no leaks.
Yep, leaks on the passenger side. There's also a lot of wind noise there. It's done it since I bought it in May. One of these days I'll take it in to the dealer.
If yours is leaking there is a window tip in adjustment. The adjustment is made by loosening the nut underneath the door and adjusting the tip in by adjusting the adjuster behind the reflector on the door panel. You shouldn't see the edge of the window if it's adjusted properly. If you can see the edge of your window when the door is closed you should perform the tip in adjustment. My .02 Hope it helps. Keep us posted. Happy New Year.
Mine doesn't leak.....but at certain speed the noice coming from the window it's annoying....if i push the edge of the rubber just under the roof it will stop....but i can't drive with my hand hanging in there no?
Any help?
thanks...
