OMG....I had to make a quick run to Walgreen's during lunch. As usual, I parked awaaaaaaaaaayyyyyyyy from everyone in the last row of spaces adjacent to a curb. I did not park right next to the curb because it looked as though there was some junk like bottle tops and a crushed can, didnt' want to take any chances. Well, came out to find an old blazer had SQUISHED himself between my vette and the curb!! It was impossible for me to even get in on the driver's side! I am so agitated now! I had to take my heels off, get in on the passenger's side and climb over the console. I think I'd better start taking those "specialty tickets" a friend made for me and keep them in my car!!!!! I can't say what I was tempted to do,( you can only imagine, ) but I very calmly drove back to the office. BOY...that really makes me angry!!!
Same thing happened to me at a 7-11, a 4 wheel drive parked so close to me that I could barely get in! There was no excuse for it because we were the only two cars in the parking lot. I just don't get it.
I have heard people do that on purpose just to mess with a vette (hot car) owner. I park my car where there is a spot to park. I believe if it is going to happen it is going to happen and just deal with it afterwards. I have seen people that constantly park their cars WAY out in the parking lot to avoid a door ding. Then one day a moron speeding through the parking lot sideswipes the car. It is car it is repairable and life goes on. At least you, like said before, you did the right thing and just went on with your day. All in all the guy in the truck is just jealous he can not afford your vette.

Same happened to me 2 days ago. A gazillion parking slots, all empty except for my baby, and somebody parks their car not only next to, but purposely close to mine.
I examined it for any scratches or gouges and fortunately found none.
I've learned that you just have to expect those things to happen because "No Matter Where You Park, Some *&%$%#%* Is Gonna Park Right Next To Ya."
I hate it when people do that. I usually park as far out as I can in order to prevent that from happening and then some A.H. does something stupid like that (probably just for spite).
I was in Vegas at a store. I parked WAAAAAAYYYYYY out in the north 40. The nearest vehicle was a 1/4 mile away. At least it seemed that far. I pulled into 2 spots. When we came back out there was a Blazer parked by the Vette. There was even a note on my car complaining about the 2 spots that I had HOGGED. Mind you I was far away from a store entrance or even the nearest vehicle. My Wife read it and wrote a "nice reply" and put it back on the Blazer. Some people.
I went to Walgreens last week. Parked out away from everyone. Came out 5 min later. They had turned on the sprinklers, well water all over my fresh Zaino.
When this happen,i am always tempted to use my key...on their doors...but..as the bible said...don't do to the others what you don't want the others do to you...right?
It seems like most people just want to **** you off. They see a vette and feel like we think we are just to good for them. I always park far away as possible. I always find someone parked next to me. Even when there are spaces available.
Went to Menards parked Faaaar away ,into the next county, had to walk pret near a mile , but here it came some old a$$hole lady parked right up close to my C5.She said "Sure have a preeeety caaaarr,Imo gonna park next it, make sure mine is safe."
She had a POS rust bucket '85 Olds ,so I did'nt say a word to that heep driving a$$hole & took my car at the other end of the lot, next county over.
IMO if they want it ,steal it,if their jealous, buy one,but just don't dammage it, you can't get any gain out of that ,with the exception of lead in the a$$!
