Drivers power seat control.................
...............is sticking out of seat. I looked underneath and the bracket seems to be broken. Does anyone know the part number of the bracket that holds the control? Is this a common problem? It's the only thing wrong with the car and I want to fix it.

Patches is the man for the part number. And yes this has happened many times before. Don't feel to bad about it I am sure it's a pretty easy fix. If Patches doesn't see this post PM him I am sure he'll help you out.

This just happened to mine, I got part from Ken Fichtner's, it was $15 with shipping. You look like you have the old style, you may have to drill a hole to install the new style part. Part is called the Driver's Seat Switch Benzel (sp?)
Putting front screw back in new panel was impossible for me without removing seat. When taking off seat reclining handle, just push down in middle between seat and handle with a screwdriver (there is a "c clamp" on it).
