Default Under-Hood Questions

Hey.......have a question pertaining to what I think is one of a kind chrome addition to add to your existing washer fluid tank and coolant tank. With stock tanks they have indentations along the top of each unit. Have seen what appears to be chrome wire what seems to follow along the recessed area on each tank, almost like grid-work. If any one can point me to a web site that might have information on this or if they know if this is a home fabrication then this would be an awesome mod. Thanks and have a wonderful New Year to all................

Never heard of that setup........ various painted and chrome covers are available. Got a painted set of both tanks ordered from Vettesshop myself.

The only car I've ever seen what you describe was on Sal Cigna's car.

I believe it was a one-of-a-kind job done by himself.

Unfortunately, he passed away last year so finding more info may not be so easy.

Perhaps one of our east coast members who knew him may know how he did it?

Tom (Y2Kvert4me) is absolutely right. My good friend Sal Cigna was the metal artist that did that engine. He and I met each other and a friendship was born. The crazier the idea the better we liked it. If it was made of metal and you could imagine it, Sal could make it. I polished and painted a lot of the items for Sal and when he came up with the wire idea I was there to encourage him on. That washer tank took about 75 manhours of bending, test fitting, welding etc. Damn, I miss you Sal. Sorry if I sound sad, but I am.
