I like mine, and quite frankly don't give a gosh darn what anybody else thinks. I actually get a alot of compliments from other C5 owners. So I like them. Not all though. I don't like the really high ones on these cars. This one I got from C5West actually compliments it I think.

To each his own. To me it looks ethnic. Might as well put gold rims on a vette. Or lower it and put the small rims that stick out about 6 inches. You know. Like the Latino cars you see in the Ghetto Yep to each his own. What looks bad *** to one person may look like crap to another. Not trying to **** anyone off, its just the truth. I figure if you own the car you can do what makes you happy. I prefer the stock look personally Remember in the late sixties when people put curb feelers on their cars so they wouldn't screw up the whitewall tires. I remember my Dad put some on his Buick and thought that was the ****!! Hell maybe I'll go put some on the vette. And run it by his house. I know he would appreciate it..

Someone must have been to the Superbird Convention to get all those pics of winged warriors.

Every time I clean my car and then drive down the road and back my rear tail lights are coverd in dirt. does a spoiler prevent this.

It's only January 2nd, and already you are a nominee and strong contender for most non-PC person of 2005.

Don't mean to ruffle your feathers but a corvette does not need a spoiler. A corvette is already a distinguished looking car as is! If I saw your car on a lot, the first thing I would tell the dealer is to please remove that surfboard on the rear! Too each, thier own! I used to live in VA Beach of of Lynhaven and that city is straight rive ville!

That is so unbelieveably offensive, I honestly think you should be kicked off of the forum. There is no place on the CF for Racial Bigets as yourself.

Just for your information there are people of "ethnic" decent on this forum or maybe, people like myself that have "Latino" children.

It's people like you who have such low self esteem and probably cant even afford to own a vette, your probably in debt to your ears. But since it makes you feel like your "Better" than the next guy you own one...

The big butt of the C5 is already a magnet for dust and dirt and have a spoiler will just cause it the collect a little more. I had a 1980 Z28 and the rear spolier created a lot of dust on the rear of the car.

What the hell does that mean. I already know that a corvette is already distinguished. So, I'll just distiguish it from the other Vettes how my Latin blood tells me to I guess. Besides, if you did see it in a lot you should keep it on so you have a surf board when you go to the beach. BTW, Happy New Year.

and it's people like you who need to find out what a wood shed is for. "oh no, we can't ever offend anybody" ... The slightest slip of the tongue and he's a bigot? get real.

and btw if you keep talking about him in a demeaning manner, this thread will be closed. (look up CF rules of conduct)

I am Mexican, born in Durango Mexico. Moved here when I was 6 years old. As far as in debt.. I don't think so.. and low self esteem.. no way.. I have come a long way in my life compared to my other Latino brothers and sisters who never had any educational ambitions or goals in life except to breed and have one of those stupid looking High wing small rimmed cars, that I see on the south side of town... Viva Mexico

Just read in a Vette History book that there were no types of spoilers installed as all it dod was screw up the existing aerodynamics of 2.39 which is next to perfect.
There are no others that has this windtunnel ration.
According to the Project Engineer on the C5 adding a spoiler would have screwed it up.
Trying to get the various downforce to speed ratios from a friend of mine that tested the "Fantastic Plastic" up at the Airborne Express Air Base in Wilmington.
Supposedly when you're at 120MPH you are scraping all of the rubber damns up front.
The C5 has better aerodynamics than the C6 tests.

Regards

Jim
