I am going to add a blackwing to by 2004 LS1.
Seems this is an easy bolt on to the stock unit.
Here is my question.
Is this all I need?
Many of the catalogs offer upgraded air couplers and power ducts too.
All with claims of additional horsepower too?
Appreciate any advice. Thanks.
The Blackwing is a good move without a doubt. Silicone couplers and carbon fiber airbridges smooth out the appearance of your engine compartment but IMHO you'll be hard pressed to realize any significant RWHP.

No extra bolt-on HP from the couplers and all that stuff. The Blackwing has the potential to increase the HP. Go for it - and then you need to let the engine breathe a little better by adding a cat-back exhaust.
Unless you are pushing a huge amount of hp to the wheels the stock components you mention do not need to be replaced (until you reach about 600rwhp) unless for aethetic purposes.
