hey guys...a few questions. ive been calling around to several places for Z06s. i found a few that are relativly close to me. the one dealer wants me to come by this weekend and look at one. its about a 4hr drive. it is a 01, 37000miles. they want 27 for it. i was gonna offer 25500. is that too low? there r a couple other ones in the area in the 30000mi range, so i figured id throw that out and see if theyll bite on it. i think its a reasonable price. im supposed to call the dealer in the middle of the week and let them know if im comin up. should i try to just offer the 25500 over the phone and save myself a trip if they deny it or do you guys recommend just chancing the ride out because theyll be more willing to negotiate if i am right there in person? the reason i want this one is i like the color combo w/ mod red interior. plus from our numerous phone conversations, the dealer seems very easy to work with. thanks.

I dont think you will get their lowest price on the phone. So you just might have to make the trip to see the car. For the money your looking to spend, I would search a little more and try to locate a 2002 Z06.
Just an opinon. Good Luck

The dealer will be more likely to negotiate if you are standing there in person IMO. If you really think the car has what you want on it, make the trip. Only way you will be sure just how good it is.
yeah, well its seems common sense that in person you can possibly strike a better deal. am i being unrealistic to offer 25500 for the car? i think its a good price. i wouldnt consider it 'low-milage' by any means, so thats what i was thinking. i know of another one im pretty sure i get get in that same range, but it isnt the color combo i want.
Can't hurt to make an offer that you are comfortable with. Don't forget that many '01s had an oil consumption issue. I would check on the history of this car to see if you can determine whether, or not, it has the issue, or if it has been taken care of (if it did have it).
Good Luck and be patient. There are a lot of Z06's for sale.
I'd defintely go see them in person, you have to see what kind of overall shape they are in, that usually determines in my mind how much I'm willing to spend on a car. Good luck

If it's not the color combo you want. Don't buy it, wait for the one you want. That's a lot of money to spend on a color you don't want.
I agree. Be patient unless this is something you have to have today. You want the color combination you want not what happens to be available. Done the road you'll be sorry if you don't get what you want.
the one im talking about going to look at is the color combo i want. but i dont want to pay the 27 they r asking for it, since it has almost 40000miles on it. but i think 25500 should be reasonable, agree? or atleast worth a shot?
