I posted this thread earlier today but thought I would start a new thread on Insurance. Hope I don't make anyone mad because this is a little off the subject of Corvettes. In Dallas our Insurance runs $350 a month for a 2900 sq foot home with a 1% deductible $100000 on contents plus a 1996 Lexus Sc400, 1993 Eagle Talon and 99 Vette Coupe. Are there better deals out there on Insurance? I think I did my homework and found the best deal, however Insurance varies state to state. I have Amica Mutual Insurance on my Home and all of our Automobiles. The Vette was insured as a "pleasure vehicle" or a secondary car. There is no mileage limit and has a $500 deductible. Premium for the Vette is $594 a year. I highly recommend everyone to at least get a quote from Amica. They are a large tripleAAA insurance company that only insures Low risk policy holders. All they insure is responsible people. They don't want any deadbeats for policy holders. No claims for at least 5 years and a good credit rating. If you fit into their program, it will be a great savings to you. They are also a True Mutual company. So at the end of each year if you don't make a claim you will get a check for around $200 or more back from Amica.. www.amica.com And No I'm not a salesman, just trying to save a buck or two or better yet a free mod or two for their Vette!! and help people out
About $450 a month here in Central California. That's for a 2000sf home and contents, a 2002 23ft Malibu wake board boat, a 99 Chev Taho 4X4, a 2003 Nissan 350Z and finally my 2002 corvette vert. Our insurance is thru Allstate and this does not include earthquake insurance which I believe is way to expensive.

I have State Farm for homeowners and USAA for my three cars. Home is 2400 sq ft, $1000 deductible, earthquake coverage, 125000 personal property and the three cars are the '00 Vette, '02 Grand Am GT and '04 Chevy Aveo with $500 deductible. Almost every year I get a dividend payment from USAA, but nothing back from State Farm. Still, not a bad deal.

That's where the New Madrid fault is. The big one is just around the corner. In the 1800s one of the strongest earthquakes ever in the US was there, and there hasn't been a major one since.
