I have decided to replace my wagon wheels on my 99 coupe. I hate to admit it but I am having a hard time understanding all of the configurations and spacing. If I go with stock size wheels and tires, do I need to worry about the spacing? Also, I haven't decided on what wheel and tire package to go with yet, but since my car is black I wanted to toy with powdercoated rims with a machined lip stock size of course. Can you please make some suggestions of good wheels, vendors, and tires. Lastly, will I have to ask for additional wheel sensors? Any advice or suggestions would be welcomed. Thank you in advance.

House of Wheels, Xtreme Motorsports, West Coast Corvettes all sell custom wheels that you could consider. If they are the stock size wheels, you probably would not have any concerns about spacing, etc. You can ask the vendor that question to be sure. If you want to run the sensors, then yes, you will have to get new ones unless you plan to just swap your old ones into the new wheels. Most aftermarket wheels accept stock sensors, but again, this would be a question to ask the vendor to be sure. Good luck. There are a ton of wheels out there that you can choose from.

I agree with JD - if you stick with one of the Forum vendors, they'll all be intimately familiar with the backspacing, sizes and the need to adapt the tire pressure monitors.
There are a couple of things to consider, your 99 will only accept the TPM from 97-00. The monitor changed in 01 and they are not interchangeable. Also - if you think about increasing the the front sizes to match the rear (i.e. run the same size all around) it will adversely affect the active handling - or so I've been told.
There are tons of wheels out there to choose from, but not all are appropriate for the Vette.

Deal with a quality wheel manufacturer like HRE, Fikse, or Kinesis and you won't have to worry about details like backspacing.....they'll take care of it all for you.
