Don't know what you mean exactly. The C6's hatch has a grab handle that's built into the plastic to pull down the hatch. It also has a catch mechanism to secure the hatch once you drop it down so you don't have to push down on the hatch to lock it. I don't know how the mechanism works or how big is it so I can't tell you how hard it would be to transfer it over to a C5. Seems like alot of work. The window valet can solve the problems you may have with locking the hatch since you can crack the windows open and let the air pressure out, which causes the hatch to sometimes not lock properly.

I looked at a new C6 last night and decided to make my own pull down. The salesman unlocked the trunk with the key and let me close it. The lid only moved about a 1/4" and it took some pressure to activate the closing motor.
