Default chrome hood hinges

Has anyone bought chrome hood hinges from ChromeCo.? Myfirst set started rusting less then a year. Then when they finally mailed me a replacement set, they already had rest spots. Now I'm waiting for another set;is this normal or are they just poor quality? Doug

I bought stock hinges and had them plated locally, been great for two years at least now!

Design Specialties was the best source for hood hinges for the C5 but unfortunately they have gone out of business as we knew them. If you want the same quality, buy new stock hinges and send them to http://www.advancedplating.com They were Aaron's (DS) plater and are very familiar with plating C5 parts. They are also one of the Street Rodders favorite chrome sources so they are very busy. I sent them my parts in November so I would have them to install by late February. The quality is as good as it gets. Explore their web site and you'll see a first class operation. Tell Tom/Carl I sent you and they'll charge you an extra $50.

Jim turned me onto Advanced Plating...Now I'm hooked. Good quality, but anticipate early...long wait. And only charged me an extra $25 for knowing Jim.
