Default C5 Z06 pricing..............

Presently, there are 01 Z06's w/ avg/above avg miles going for $27K ^. I have seen some great 02's w/ mods going for $30K or so.

What do you think the market will be for the rest of this year, from this point on?

Are we going to be seeing nice 02's going for 25K by the end of the year? Or have we flattened out for a while?
Obviously, as time marches on, all cars will continue their de-appreciation spiral, even Vettes. The Z06 is special though. Factors to consider.......

1. All cars de-appreciate to a certain point.

2. The new C6 Z06

3. Pricing of the new C6 Z06

Pricing on the new Z will play a big part I think. If its high, then some of the people who sold or are selling their C5 Zs will decide to get back into a C5 Z. And those who might be on the fence about buying the newest generation versus the older generation may be swayed. Demand for the C5 Zs could go up, stabilizing the market.

I think if the C6 Z comes out at $65k+, the prices for the C5 Z's will increase slightly or stay where they are. Once the C6 Z is out for a couple of years, then you will see the C5 Z's drop again in price.

I agree with Quickzilver - if the price is high the C5 version will become a more popular alternative in the short term.

For me - I wasn't planning on getting rid of my car and stepping up to the C6 Z but if the price goes north of 65k it will be a long time before I can justify that much cash for a new one. I already have a little over 500 crank hp and upgraded suspension. I am a 3k brake upgrade away from being right in line with the performance of the new Z.

I would rather keep my car and cruise around in a mercedes SL for my daily driver than have that much into my weekend car. Espcially since my weekend car performs on the same level. Just my .02

I'm liking your $00.02 worth.
