Default General C5 option question

Bought my 1st C5. It's coming on car carrier as we speak. Thing is, how can I rightfully tell how it's optioned? It does have Z51 package, magnesium wheels, etc.

Is it coded somewhere?

thanks

Denis

I think you can find all the codes in the glovebox. there are lots of sites that will have the RPO codes so you can compare.

depends... early C5 coupes had the sticker on the bottom of the drivers side storage lid in the back.

Try to PM Sponge Vette. I gave him my VIN and he looked up all of the option codes and service that my 98 had. He was a hyge help.

Look in your glovebox for the RPO codes and verify it in this link... http://corvetteactioncenter.com/index.php

That's where the codes are on my 98 Coupe.

Congrats on getting a C5. The listing of options on the car are either in the rear storage area (driver's side) or the glove box.

Welcome to the best forum on the 'Net!

Your RPO (Regular Production Option) codes will be on the underside of the driver's side compartment in the rear.

After you've located that sticker - look up this web site to see what all the letters and number mean.....

http://home.fuse.net/corvette/rpo.htm

You might as mcarota suggested try sending a PM to SpongeVette and ask for a service history, born on date, and the same list. You'll get all sorts of origination information, such as the ordering dealer name, etc. All SpongeVette will need from you is the VIN.

You might also want to go to the Corvette Museum web site and order the orginal buildsheet, window sticker and dealer literature for about $90. It goes to support a good cause and it's just kind of neat to have this documentation.

https://www.corvettemuseum.com/libra...ts/index.shtml

Have fun with your new baby and post some pics - we love pics around here, as none of us knows what a Corvette looks like!

Either Post the last 8 digit or your vehicle number, or PM me the vehicle number and I'll look up your service history along with all the options on the car
