The last word I got from inside sources was they were Not going to make Gen 2 Goodyears in C5 sizes,,,
but with 1/4 million C5's on the road, the potential for a million tires makes for an attractive market..
I would not call it a dead issue just yet but I would not hold my breath,,,
No problem with buying 18's and 19 wheels and jumping on the sticky super wide Z06 runflats in the performance compound.
I have a feeling they are going to wait a few years to make them in C5 sizes just so that GM can continue to say that the C6 has a more "refined" ride compared to the C5, even though its mostly the tires that do that. You could always upgrade your wheels to fit C6 EMT2 tires. I'm sure eventually, goodyear will sell only one EMT tire to save on manufacturing costs. Doesn't make sense to make two different tires when they could easily make 1 tire in two different sizes.
