I just put mine up on ramps an removed the access panel below the fog lights. It only took five minutes and I still have all of the skin left on my arms!!
BB you the man. I am lucky enough to have little girly arms to pry under the open headlight. Better see if that method is posted for you fat arm (i mean muscle arm) guys....
My method does not have anything to do with the size of my arm. I can't reach from the top because I shattered my wrist in motorcycle accident 3 years ago and it does not bend like "normal" people's. I also used this method to switch out my headlight bulbs. Much easier for me.
If you must know I was riding a quad, 1987 Honda TRX250R, and overshot a 40' table top and landed in the flat. I broke both bones in my right arm and had to have them both surgically repaired. 1 pin a a plate with 3 screws. It was a blessing in desguise because I sold all of my toys quad, trailer, ect. And bought a Vette. To replace the headlights just reach way up in there and twist them out and back in. You may have to move the brake duct out of the way a bit. Good luck. Pic of the bike below
I did it this way. Was a little hard to get to. I replaced the stock bulbs with 885's (I think) and put about 20 turns on the adjuster to raise the lights up some.
