Well today was going to be the day to do the Calipers, but the cold weather stopped that so I decided to change the headlights - oh and put in a RedTop (btw - the nuts below the battery are 1/2 inch - I dropped something underneath it and had to take it out - dummy).
I went with the 9500 and 9600 ST and all I have to say is what a difference from stock. I did one side and turned on the lights and the originals looked yellowish while the new ones were bright white.
I wish I did this change when I the fogs because I had to take the headlight covers off again, but it was much easier to change the headlights then the fogs and well worth it.
Tomorrow either the caliper or the sway bars - maybe both....
I may do the same thing tomorrow. Did you find the fog light bulbs hard to change because of access?
Very Hard to Change, but not impossible. Again I would suggest doing both at the same time. A couple of bucks out of pocket, but well worth it. There is just so little room with the fogs...
For the Fogs you need everything off (headlight cover and black surrounding piece) and when you look straight down you will be able to see where the Fog goes in. I found the driver side easier then the passenger (my wife did the passenger side in a few seconds - she is 5ft 100 lbs). The only reason it was easier was because I could go under this metal piece that is in the general area and I could not do it on the other side.
You said the fog lights were 885's. Is there any designation after the 885 like the 9006st the (st). Or just straight 885's and they'll know what I am looking for. I think the ST was for white and the other designation was for a blue bulb. Just thought it might be the samething for the fog lights.

The "brighter" fog light bulb is a straight "885". The normal bulb is a "883". The "ST" at the end of the headlight part number (i.e. 9005ST) is for the "Silver Star", the "CB" at the end is for the "Cool Blue" bulbs.
The 885 is about $8.00 each and the Silverstars are about $30.00 for a package of two. Advance Auto had a $5.00 mail in rebate a while back for the Silverstars.

Have fun.
Got mine from Advance Auto and still had the rebate of $5.00, but I paid $37 for each set (9005ST and 9006ST). These are a good compliment to the 885s and much better than stock. So for the extra bucks if I see something in the road a split second sooner it is worth it.
I just bought the Silver Star main headlight bulbs, and am getting ready to go install them. As I understand it, I'd turn the lights on, then go down one notch to parking lights to turn the headlights off but leave them up, then remove the black bezel, and change the bulbs.
Coupla questions:
Which one is the high beam and which is the low? ... or I suppose it will be obvious once I get them out because of the plugs
Also ... I didn't get fog lamp bulbs, but is there an 885 Silver Star? All I saw was the 885 by Sylvania, but they were less than $5 each at WalMart and were not Silver Star designated.

I would take off the black piece first then the top cover. With lights down take out the back 2 torx 15 screws for the cover. Raise the lights remove the 3 screws holding the black thing and then remove the remaining 2 torx 15 screws for the cover. This will give you more room.
Regarding the lights. The low beam will have a cover over the front of the halogen (I think it is a light deflector). It is easy to figure out once you pull the lights, but if memory serves me right the outside lights are the low beams.
The Fogs are not silver star, but have higher wattage and do not have the cover (light deflector) over the front like the stock do.
