Welp, she's gone... hibernating for the winter season... Stuck her in an airplane hangar on Monday... I didn't think it would suck this bad. My pride & joy, my stress relief, my bragging rights, my thunder! MAN this hurts! I damn near cried when I cleaned her out, covered her up, shut the doors, and hit the lock button. One last "BEEP" and that was it!
I've read about this, but I never knew it would be so bad. I need a support group!
Thanks for listening...
I want to support you brother, I to feel your pain. Mine has been parked since Nov.20, 11pm. I spend half my life waiting for summer.
I hear you guys up north talking about the frigid weather and the notion of covering your baby up is a good idea. Covering her up is not enough you need to place a electric blanket on her to keep her warm and show her you really care. Everybody thinks were crazy anyway
I don't know how you guys do it..... Gotta live somewhere that I can drive my Vette, ride my Harley and play golf 12 months a year. I'm not gloating, just very appreciative that I live in FL. Stay warm and look forward to the thaw
How do you like the Hurricanes? J/K I'm glad you've got it so good. We have relatives in Sarasota, and it looks pretty good down there. I try to rationalize the long wait by telling myself that in the spring i have a new car...
You'd think living in Va you would be safe from the snow but this winter season there has already been 2 snow storms. The funny thing is that in between each of the storms, we've had a few days in the upper 60's and lower 70's. Va has some strange weather. Nothing better than riding with the top off in the middle of January.

Oh yeah, I forgot about the Hurricanes! Must have been a senior moment, lost the short term memory about age 60. Except for the Hurricanes and humidity it's great. Hey, the new car part every spring sounds pretty good.
Good to know I'm not alone in this 'hole in the heart' feeling. I can't complain too much, we've been spared over here with some very mild weather, and normally we get a couple of good days throughout. Between the quakes in Cali, the tornadoes throughout the midwest, the depth of snow and ice in the north and the hurricanes in the south, I'm not in a horrible position here in Northern VA.
I just dream about the day when I can just go downstairs, open a door, flip the light switch, and bask in the glory... Ahhhhhhhhhh....
No one really understands, unless they own a vette. My kids and wife look at me like I have three heads when I tell them, "get away from the vette." or "don't bump the car." " yes I know there is a <a style='text-decoration: none; border-bottom: 3px double;' href="http://www.serverlogic3.com/lm/rtl3.asp?si=24&k=car%20cover" onmouseover="window.status='car cover'; return true;" onmouseout="window.status=''; return true;">car cover</a> on it." " get away anyways"
At least I can drive once a week until the spring.
Once a week? What do you do the other six days? It's just cold, it's not raining or snowing.

I have no idea why a car has to go into hibernation. I can see a motorcycle but not a car. I live in Rhode Island and have been driving my car up until the other day. With the exception of snow and salt on the roads, there is no reason not to drive. When the roads are clear let it rip.

I'm in CT, and while Inferno has been asleep in my garage for the past 5 days due to snow and salt/sand on the roads, as soon as it gets a little warmer (and it rains), he's back on the road!!

Don't know how you guys do it. I would go nuts if I couldn't drive at least every other week. Thank God for the Golden Gulf Coast where there's really no winter to speak of. Snow? Salted roads? Hibernation for months? Forget that!! Go Gulf Coast!

And summer is like Dante's Inferno only a little more humid. I believe England Green said that he still drives in Winter.
