Default partition and shift **** help

After doing the h/c, no cats, and bullets i have to give in and get a partition. I know everyone says andy's are the best, but last i looked they were double or more the price of corvettepartition.com's and corvettepartz's. I am looking for opinions on those who have experience with the before mentioned 2.

Also, the hurst rattle was minimal before, but is in full force now. i've heard an aftermarket shift **** will cure it. I know some are much more durable/rattle resistant than others.......

PLEASE HELP!!!!

I bought the Eckler's $99 2.5 inch think foam partition with Z06 emblem - I like and it doesn't require drilling any holes. Its a compression fit. A side benefit is the stereo sounds much better and the cabin cools much faster in the summer too.

I bought the MGW Gripper for $45. Not only does it look and feel great it cured 99% of the harmonics the Hurst amplifies.

So for about $150 you can solve your two issues.

Cheers

Tom

I built mine.

Build your own. Hit the link below and there are lots of how to's on the site. You can get the carpet for the trunk side at Lowes. You can get vinyl or leather for the cabin side at your local auto trim trim shop or sewing store. Foam from a craft shop. If you are resourceful you can probably get a Pennant and Trophy shop to embroider your own logo for you. The most part expensive will be the embroidery.

I agree, and I'm sure Andy would as well, his don't cost $400! I think he even has a sale running right now.

I like mine.

AFVETTE.... I'm hoping it's just the angle of the pic, but your partition looks like it has a bend in it. Kind of takes away from the look. Bending is one thing that Andy's doesn't do. Yours is still a nice partition though.

I thought I saw Andy's partitions going for about $259 on eBay? Anyhow, he's a good guy and my transaction with him went very smoothly.

Andy always has group purchases going on. His are the best and match the carpet exactly! Quality is not cheap.

MGW got rid of my Hurst rattle. I love mine in all black.

Its a piece of MDF board with some carpet clued to it is that worth $400 to you then be my guest. In my eyes its not worth that kind of money even if comes with a emblem attached to it :-). This is something you could do at home for very little money so $400 is a ripp of IMHO.

You can buy it from Andy for less than $400. And the color of the carpet is the exact same shade of the OEM black, so it matches perfectly. The fit is also perfect. I thought it over long and hard before purchasing Andy's partition with well covers. I'm very glad I decided to get his as the quality is very easily seen up close. Cheap flimsy partitions don't compare with regards to sound dampening or as a temperature barrier.

I already bought a partion from Corvettepartz since i didnt like the rude treatment i got at Andys place and the partions at partions from Corvettepartz is of as good quality as Andys but not so expensive.
I understand that you try to motivate that you bought a partion for more $ from Andy to convince yourself that you made a good deal but thats all.
The partions from Corvettepartz is a good or better than Andy IMHO.

All these vendors seem to get great feedback on this forum. You should be fine with any of them.

You can check out the guys at pfyc.com as well.

They have a nice selection of shift ***** and also carry a partition.
