Frontgate (888 263 9850) has a great deal on BEL Laserpro 904 laser jammers. Item # 10790, clearance priced at $195 plus shipping. These things usually go for $260 to $300. Good test results from the usual Radar detector Test websites.

Without getting into a big debate, I tried two different laser and radar jammers.... none worked. I understand the only radar jammer is one that emits waves (which is illegal per the federal government) Stick with a good radar / laser detector, be alert, and TRY to slow down every now and then
I was cured of radar dectors at a very young age of 16. I have never owned one since although I do kick it around now and again. I got a speeding ticket in 1986 by the North Carolina HP (they rarely let you off) for 17 mph over the posted. I had been driving for less than a year. Went straight to Radio Shack and bought a radar detector and in less than a week I had another speeding ticket in Raleigh. The first thing the officer said when he walked up ( I didn't hide the detector like a stupid 16 yr old) was "that thing won't do you any good out here. We run VASCAR (sp)" Oh well, I got myself a court ordered driving class and a hefty insurance premium and have been pretty lucky ever since. I've gotten 1 speeding ticket since then. I speed a little but never over do it for long periods of time. I have to take the vette and the Boss Hoss up to triple digits every now and then but pick my spot and pray for no lights and sirens! Interesting site below in regards to the above.
Bottom line? Today's radar detectors that I personally tested at the Texas Motor Speedway for this story all worked...just too late. The detectors all went off about the same time/distance from the police officers operating them. The problem? The cops had us "locked in" anywhere from .5 to 1.0 seconds before the detectors went off in the car. You're busted!

I have the Blinder M40 Laser Jammer and the V1. Here in the SF Bay area, the CHP uses laser to pick out speeders on the freeway. They will have a motor officer standing in the emergency lane pointing the gun and recording your speed. There's usually two other motor officers acting as chase vehicles.
I also see the local PD and Sheriff's using laser guns. On several occasions, my M40 Blinder has sounded it's warning (along with the V1) and allowed me to slow down and hit the "off" button, affording the officer the opportunity to get a "valid" reading on the laser gun that is well within the speed limit.
On a recent occasion, I got a discerning look from a motor officer as I passed by him right after jamming his laser gun. (I smiled and waived)
From my first-hand experience, I believe the Blinder M40 unit works very well.
