Put a new set of GHL Bullets 3.5 round on my stock 2000 FRC with only 15K miles.Great fit -no probs except generally incresed levels of vibration throughout the car when accelerating and decelerating.Nothing severe but the car was smooth as glass prior to the install.Fairly experienced wrench and everything done by the book.Nothing appears to be touching.Anyone else experience this? Thanks,Hal
Where is the vibration coming from? Did you put an X pipe on it? More info please...My Magnums caused no additional vibration...Did you have a exhaust flange gasket for the catback to the mains pipes...
Yea, I installed the bullet 3.5 quads and I do get some vibrations. No x-pipe. I just figured since it a little louder under the car that the force of the exhaust would be causing it. I also noticed if Im in a lower gear then the rpm, the vibrations increase. Not sure what to make out of it.
Thanks for the info everyone! I will check the over axle pipes for tub contact-that might be the problem. That may be tough to determine as the motor needs to be accel/decel and in gear (of course) for the vibes to occur. The more load that is put on the engine the more it shakes. There are no vibes when cruising above 2000 RPM in the lower gears.Car is basically stone stock except for the catback system.I did use gaskets and torque wrench on all fasteners. No X pipe.

Also check where the rear bend comes close to the plastic tub, ( the last piece of the GHL system) as it may be in contact with the car...
I also have the Ghl 3.5 inch bullets with the Ghl x-pipe. I had not had any vibration whatsoever. Since it's not any loose clamps the metal to metal touching could be it. This is the first time I've ever read anybody having this problem. Hope you find out what it is.
I think your best bet might be to loosen all of the clamps (except for the flange in front of the axle) and then just adjust and retighten everything. I had one side adjusted wrong, and that side was very tight against the underbody, with the tailpipe on that side hitting the "pan" under the trunk prior to turning out under the bumper.
I tweaked it just a little and got rid of all the vibes except a brief period that occurs when decelerating from 2400 to 2200 RPM -it passes quickly but it is a noticeable buzz.I can live with it but hopefully it may subside after a few miles.
If you really have a "buzz" that description really "sounds" like you still have something too tight underneath, and maybe snug against the bottom of the car.
