hi I'm new here, I'm 33 and just got my first Corvette a little over a week ago. It's a 2000 6spd vert, pewter with a black top and interior.
I LOVE it!
I have always wanted a vette, since I was 6 at least. My dad has a '73, big block 4spd, (bored 454). I was SO dissapointed when he let me drive it, because with the seat ALL the way forward I could not push the clutch all the way down, and bairly could see over the hood (umm, I am kinda short). I was crushed and kinda gave up the idea of being able to have a vette of my own.
Well, my boyfriend (has a '71 and is going to bring home a c5 tomorrow) brought a '02 passed the house on a test drive and insisted I drive it even though it was an auto (not my preference).
Well the rest is history, I am now officially a vette owner.
I am banking on that my dad does not visit here, because I want it to be a surprise when they come visit me in March, much like they did to me when they unveiled the Buick Park Avenue!
