8500X50 detects.....school buses?!?
I love my Escort and it has saved me from probably a dozen tickets but there's one feature I hate.
The local School district has radar backup systems on the buses and they kickoff the detector a good half a mile a way. coming or going. Renders the unit all but worthless on the drive into the office every morning.
Anybody else have this problem?
Does it affect V1s?

Would get kind of annoying, especially if you encountered a lot of busses.

i disabled my X-band, but with the meter in the advanced mode, our local buses show up as two K-band signals...
kinda frustrating, but, at least i know when there are kiddos around to admire the car

Yep these are K-band, Not X. Same reading as some of the local police. Most seem to use Ka but I still get hits on K. .
