Default Ecklers troubles here too

I just read the post about the gentelman getting damaged hood and having a go around with John.

My wife ordered all of my Christmas from Ecklers knowing exactly what I wanted plus added a few items that I did not know about (she's great). Well Ecklers promised it by Christmas, it did not arrive until after Christmas. The credit card company screwed up some billing stuff so that delayed shipment but Ecklers still said they would ship it 2 day air, they sent it ground but charged for 2 day air. One of the items that my wife wanted to get me they tell her that they don'e even carry the item any more but still have it in the catalog and at first charged her for it. It has been almost 6 weeks of calls and emails. They finally corrected the over charges for 2 day air but my wife is very unhappy and told them she will not be purchasing anything from them again and she hopes that I will never purchase from them either.

I do not know what has happened lately because I have heard over the last year that they have treated so many of the forum members very well and I assume those that are not members.

Ecklers seem to be full of

What is their problem? Don't they realise (or care) that they are losing thousands of dollars in lost sales with this behavior?

I'll never buy from them after these 3 horror stories.

Won't give you all the long details, but the screwed up two of my orders last year & have not ordered from them since.
My wife ordered new floor matts from Mid America for part of my Christmas, they said they were on back order & would ship the week after Christmas. Bingo, they came in the next week

I have to agree. Too much bad press to risk a purchase with them.

I've never purchased from them, now I never will.

Eckler's is crap. Just look through their catalog and you realize that their prices for anything other than Lloyd's mats and hood seals are inflated. Sorry to hear about so many bad experiences. Car parts for Christmas gifts are never a good idea unless the purchaser is knowledgable about what they are buying and the prices available in the market.

My wife ordered from both for Chistmas and my B-Day. The one thing from Ecklers she ordered 10 business days ahead of time to be delivered to her work (they get delivery everyday) and it arrived 9 days later. All the other stuff she ordered from MAM and everything came in 2-3 days, including an item they told her was back ordered and may not make it although they were "expecting" a shipment any time. In short, I guess MAM gets my business. I also noticed on Eckler's site when I was ordering something and figuring the shipping, they were charging extra to deliver to the small town I live in, I backed out and ordered from another vendor that time too...

Funny I was just thinking about ordering from them instead of using West Coast Corvettes all the time. Guess I'll stay with WCC.

I've seen a number of posts over the last year or so complaining about Ecklers service.....have yet to see (and I could be wrong) a post from someone at Ecklers offering any explanations.......Since they are Forum sponsors I have to presume they watch the posts so I would think if they cared about us as customers, they would try to respond to some of this negative press.............Hmmmmmmmm

With todays information Super Highway it's amazing how companies still don't get it. Customer service is number 1. This will come back to haunt them in decreased sales.
