How do you activate the oil life percent. I have not been able to find it. Thanks, Duds

Duds,
You don't have to 'activate' it, it's an algorythm run by the PCM. To 'access' it, use the DIC and go to "trip" by pressing this button on the right side of the IP (Instrument Panel). Whan you press it the first time, the odometer will be displayed, continue to press the "Trip" buttone to scroll the display. You will see Trip A, Trip B, Elap(sed) Time, Avg. Speed then OIL LIFE REMAIN. when you change your oil, remember to scroll to the display of Oil Life and while it is 'up', press the RESET button at the botttom of the DIC control buttons. This will reset the Oil Life Remaining to 99%. Do NOT press the Reset while the Oil Life Remaining is displayed any other time, as this would invalidate the oil life monitor.

Hope that helps (HTH),

Joe

Pretty easy to do once you have done it. It should be explained in your owners manual also.

Default When...

Did the oil life % monitor become available beginning with the C5. I have a C4 and can find no mention of it in the manual. TIA

The C4 does have an oil life monitor, it just doesn't show you the % of life left, as the C5 system does.
