Default c5 serv column lock code--recall

ok
ive got a 99 c5 automtatic
in the morning i get a serv column lock\pull key code
took to dealer, had the recall performed for the second time
they said they found no problems...said i need an alternator
for low voltage and to clean the fuel injectors w\ a new
fuel filter..
do they think i stupid or what???
not only is my car still doing this, but why the alternator??
my guage says its charging ok
does anyone have a possible solution to this serv column lock??
the dealer obviously doesn't, they just want to sell me a bunch of crap i don't need.
also, i just had the fuel filter changed and injectors cleaned less than
a thousand miles ago..i wonder how that was going to fix my problem

Sounds like that dealer saw you coming and had $ signs in his eye's
your voltage guage should tell you if the alternator is o.k around 13.6 volts; 12 volts with engine off. I once had a service writer just say I needed a new car even though my car was still in good condition. You could also go on a long drive with lights and heater on and stereo etc and then have your battery tested for charge at an auto parts store.

Find a new dealer. If they did the recall right, I would hope that the message would not be showing up after the recall. Having the message show up would get to be old.

Mine did approximately the same thing and it was a loose wire going into the fuse block. All the rest of the stuff they told you is bs.
