Here is mine. The top half of the ***** outer ring screws off and is available in 9 colors.
The shifter looks great. But what boot/trim do you have? I like it. I am currently looking at the redline products, just curious to see where you got yours cause grey seems to match well.
Also, anyone know what the thread on the stock shifter is? I can't find that anywhere.

The 2 tone shift boot came from Mid America. I also have a matching 2-tone parking brake boot.
The shift boots are available now. The parking brake boot is a one off made for me for testing by Mid America. They will be available later this year. They also made me a matching leather covered brake handle (that I haven't installed yet) that will be available as well.

On an A4, it's at the base of the ****. If you look at the **** (as if you're standing in front, looking towards the rear of the car), it's pushed in there. It's like a giant staple. You just take needle nosed pilars and pull it straight out. The **** just slips off (straight up) off the shifter.

That is true, the automatic **** is not threaded onto the shaft. I wasn't thinking about it. I was thinking about the ***** on the manuals, what is the thread?
What I am getting at is the adaptor for using manual ***** on an automatic is threaded, that is the thread I am after- I just took it that the 6-speeds had the same thead on the shifter as the adaptor for automatics to use .
And I want to know this so if I go with a universal or specificly threaded **** that I order the right one so it will fit when I get it.
Thanks.
