Just ordered new rotors for my 2001 C5 Vert. Can anyone point me to a web page or a forum thread that lays out the removal and replacement of the rotors?? (did a search no luck )

Thanks!! Steve

This is an install of the baer two piece in Corvette Fever:

This is a link from Ls1howto.com for a wilwood brake install. It has good pics for removal of the stock rotors. Just disregard the part about disconnecting the brake lines because it isnt necessary.

Steve,

Simple. Jack the car up and remove the wheels. On the backside of the caliper are (2) 18mm (I think they're 18's) bolts. Remove the bolts, slide the calipers off.

You can chose which method you want but you'll need something to push the piston back in so you can get the calipers back over the new rotors as they are probably thicker than what was on your car.

Slide the calipers back on, tighten bolts... you're done.

Oh yeah, put wheels back on car...lol.

Yes don't put it on or you won't get the rear rotors off. And when you put the new ones on adjust the shoes.

Steve-
If you need hhelp, bring your car over. We can do it in about 1 hour from start to finish.

I'll shoot up there if need be. I just have everything we need in my garage.
