Why does it seem like not a lo tof people use it? Seems like a lot of hP for relatively cheap. Is it bad for your engine? Dangerous? What?

If not properly done it can be catastrophic to your motor.
One small human error, and you're picking up scattered parts from all over the place.
You have to deal with keeping proper bottle pressure.

But on the bright side propperly tuned and working Nitrous is a great way to look for HP. I have nitrous for my car, however i haven't and most likely won't install it, as this is my daily driver and only car. I'd much rather have the Hp all the time and slightly more reliable such as cam and heads and other bolt ons.

You should be able to find a lot of info in the C5 Forced Induction/Nitrous section of the Forum. Good luck!

NOS is great if you street race, otherwise I don't see the point in a street car. That 10lb bottle does not last forever - and when it runs out, then what?

For me, it's like a Internet connection : I prefer "always on" versus "dial-up"
