Headlight Body alignment?

Headlight Body alignment?

I have a problem with the passanger side hedlight. It does not seem that it closes all the way down, as to align with the hood/body of the car. It is just a slight misalignment. The manual adjuster is screwed all the way down, if that is how you would say that? But the light still stands up a bit?

What am I missing? Is there something it might be hitting? How is this adjusted?

I have the same issue, but with the driver's side. When the lights go down, the driver's side comes back up just a bit. I can crank the manual adjuster and get it flush. It seems like the "stop", if there is such a thing isn't quite adjusted right.

I had both headlights replaced on my 02 (don't ask why). If you remove the top cover to the headlight (the painted part - should be a couple of screws in the rear and on the side) there is an adjustment plate underneath that you can manipulate. However, this is a pain in the butt.

Well, I guess this is a very uncommon problem? As it seems only two of us have it? I will look into the one suggestion. Thanks TAGVETTE.

I just noticed the same problem on the passenger side headlight of my 01.

Well, at least we are getting this up in the threads, and more than just me seem to see this problem.

Now, just to wait and see who has the details about it???

More common than you think

Seen several vettes with this problem. I have it on my '98, and the same on my '93 Trans Am. Both on the drivers side, too. PITA to fix.
