Had my first paint chip. Saw something called a Autosharp Pen in latest Corvette Fever Magazine which supposedly disperses paint through a felt tip. Anyone used one of these pens and if so what did you think?
Think it costs around $16 so want to make sure it works. :mad
That would be great. I have a 98, and I probably have 1 or 2 paint chips. Ok maybe 10 or 20(mostly on the front). The ones on the front don't bother me too much. You are going to get those if you drive the car. I have one on the drivers side fender that I would like to fix. I'll keep looking here to see if any one has anything good to say about the paint pens.
Regular touch up paint and Langka which smoothes everything out. It works great. You let the touch up paint dry for 4 days or so then use Langka to remove whatever is above the surface. Check it out at www.langka.com

I tried one and I was not happy with it. It dispenses too much paint and makes a runny mess if you are not very, very carefull. Touch up paint and the end of a book match does much better.

Had one and used it on another car that had a metallic silver paint job. I wasn't happy with the results at all. It didn't mix the metal flake well with the base color at all even after shaking the thing for 5 minutes and it still left a blob. I wouldn't spend the money for it if I was you.

This stuff works! Even on the multi process paint it does a reasonable job.
I buy the touch-up paint from the dealer. Apply with a toothpick and let dry for 20 minutes. I then put a cotton cloth over the end of a can of Turpentine and lightly in a fast back and forth motion wipe off the excess that got onto the paint. It does a beautiful job. You may have to do it again until the paint dries even with the paint on the car. White is easy while metallic's are harder due to the glitter. The trick there is to shake well.
