Next few weeks are good to be rough. My dad passed away last night at the young age of 92. He helped make me the person I am today and I will always cherish our time and memories we have. Rest in peace, dad. LuvYouAlways&Forever......😢
I'm so sorry Mark. My sincere condolences to you and your family. It must be a shock for everyone. Wishing you comfort in your memories. You are all in my prayers.

Mark, you're such a notably good man from what I have picked up on over time that I can easily say that your father raised you well and left his hand on you. I am sorry to hear of his passing. Hardest for your mom, I am sure. At the same time I am happy to hear that despite the frustrations of age he did live a full and long life. He also knew the support of his family. In the coming weeks I hope you find peace again.
Mark, so sorry for your loss - prayers for you and your family. Even though he clearly lived a full and long life, it is never easy to accept their passing. My wife's Mom did unexpectedly three weeks ago (83 years old)...so we can certainly relate.
Mom and Dad are gone here. You never get over it but you learn to deal with it.
My greatest thing was my dad had a stroke. He could not communicate well but we knew what each of us were saying and we got to say all the things we should have said to each other for years. We left nothing on the table. God blessed us with that time.
You should have heard our conversations. He would ask how is my son? I would say fine. He would say no my son. He meant my mom. Once we understood his mix ups we had a lot to say.
Like you my father set me on the road to success. I like any kid thought I knew better but he was right. He gave up smoking and drinking so I would do neither.
He broke his back playing football. At 35 it pinched his spine. He had to walk with a brace and two canes. But he never let it stop him or complained. He threw the football to me shot baskets etc. I never missed out on anything.
He let me at 11 go work on the neighbors stock car and go to the races with them. He knew nothing on cars but let me follow my love.
You like I were blessed with good fathers and so many kids get cheated out of that.
The pain will last but will ease, and he will always be with you. God Bless.
Condolences to you Mark. I too am close to my Dad and dread the day when he will no longer be around for advice and wisdom. I'm sure your Father was impressed by the man you have become and it probably was a source of pride knowing he played an important role in your life. Great Dads are a blessing.
