Default **Plug-N-Play Oil Pressure Sensor Relocation Kit**

As many of you know, replacing an oil pressure sensor on a C5 and C6 Corvette is no less than a TOTAL pain in the rear. It requires you to basically remove everything on top of your motor. All for a 50 dollar sensor.

If you have a supercharger, it is even WORSE!!

Well, being that we develop and install top mounted supercharger systems, this problem is very big in our business. If you have a top mount blower, you can literally spend 500-800 dollars in labor just to make the change. Dealerships charge 300 plus dollars in labor alone on a stock vehicle.

Unfortunately, this is a part that goes out quite often. In some cases 2 and 3 times over the lifetime of your ownership.

Well, there is FINALLY a plug-n-play option that does not require you to cut harnesses, run a bunch of unsightly plastic line, splice in a bunch of brass fittings, or permantly damage anything.

Our kit allows you to not only relocate the sensor to the side of the motor, at the main oil galley, but it allows you to service that sensor whenever you see fit. A sensor swap takes LESS than 4 minutes with this relocation.

It takes about as long as unscrewing and reinstalling 1 sparkplug.

Has this been tested??
  • Yes, many many times. We have actually tested this both mechanically, and electronically. The oil pressure readings are EXACT. All you are doing, is relocating the sensor to a more available port. Not to mention that we include this on EVERY supercharger or turbo we install in house

What is included?
  • A special harness (along with OEM connectors) that allows you literally plug in to the existing harness, and extend the sensor to its new location. This is not some hand made harness. It was made to OEM specifications, using all oem materials, and machine crimping.
  • Brand New Oil Pressure Sensor
  • Tie Straps that allow you to attach the harness out of the way of any heat sources
  • Instructions (with pictures detailing the swap)

These kits are in stock and ready to ship immediately!

The Complete kit, is $89.95 shipped anywhere in the lower 48 states

If you already have the sensor, and only require the harness, ties, and detailed instructions, your cost is $39.95 shipped.

Please feel free to contact us direct for over the phone credit card orders, or you may pay via paypal to Jeff@totalperformanceengineering.com

OR, you can purchase off of our website.

Here are a couple of shots of the relocated oil pressure sensor. Hopefully this gives some of you a better idea of what he is talking about when he says the kits is to "relocate the sensor to the side of the motor, at the main oil galley." It is just below and behind the alternator.

We have been getting a lot of questions lately asking if we make this kit for F-bodies or other vehicles...so, FYI, these work on ANY vehicle with an LS based engine.

How detailed are your screen shots and instructions? I am attempting to return a competitor's similar product because the instructions are too high level.

They are EXTREMELY detailed. The instructions are actually 6 pages long and take you step by step. We also included pictures for all of the major steps so you could see what the instructions are telling you to do.

Can the existing sensor be disconnected (and left in place) without removing the intake manifold?

Default backordered?

Do you have these in stock? Your website says "Products marked with *** are not available in the desired quantity." If they are not in stock how long would I have to wait?

Thanks,
Dan

Unfortunitely no...the new harness has to be plugged into the existing plug.

We actually have 13 kits in stock right now for immediate delivery. Our website is not linked to our inventory system so sometimes it does now show the correct quantity if it has not been updated.

I can't agree with that Steve. TRUE engine oil pressure can only be measured AFTER the oil filter, where the factory oil pressure sensor is located.

Thank you for your input, but without getting into a debate with you, the 200+ customers, our 100% customer satisfaction rating on these kits, and the 100% satisfaction rating regarding correct oil pressure as reported by our customers begs to differ with your statement. So, regardless of any data you may think you have, not including a bunch of internet expertise, we will continue to believe our 200+ customers that have reported an EXACT oil pressure reading.

But then again, if you are dead set on your statement, then we urge you to spend the $200 and add multiple lines and fittings to your car introducing a much greater risk of failure than our simple relocation in order to have it after the oil filter.

We want to thank all of our customers for the unbelievable response that we have gotten, and we are glad to be able to provide this product for you.

But can the existing "plug" be unhooked from sensor w/o removing the sensor in order to save some time/labor?

Is it possible?? Yes, its possible. But I honestly dont know how you would get into that spot. You'd have to have the hands of a 10 y/0 asian girl.

We reccomend just removing it, and calling it a day. Theres no point in creating a possible issue for the savings of 20 minutes worth of labor.
