3 - $500 dollars depending on where you go. If you do a search you'll see a bunch of guess complaining about the high dealer cost to do this repair

Yeah, its a total reem job from GM for these things.

But your right 350-500 is the typical repair. Being the sensor runs 50-60 bucks from GM, it aint cheap.

I just paid $230 last week to have mine done, parts and labor at a private shop. Great work, but if I would have known, this is the route I would have gone instead!!!

Jeff, if the motor is out of the car and the intake manifold off, how much extra work is it to install this when putting the car together?

Should take no longer than a 1/2 hour. Basically pull the existing mount in that location by the oil filter, switching over the oil temp sensor and running the connections.

A matter of minutes.. Everything is exposed. It would take you longer to clean your tool.

That's what I was thinking. Putting this in will save me money even if I only had to replace the sensor once ever.

Thanks buddy..

Were waiting on some factory gaskets for the distribution blocks. They are supposed to be delivered on Wednesday. If I get them soon enough on wed, they will go out that day. If not, they will leave on thurs.

Dont forget to post up your impressions of the kit when you get it.
